By 2024, Kuban plans to increase export of AIC products by 72%

By 2024, it is expected to increase the export of AIC (agro-industrial complex) products of Krasnodar region up to 2.8 billion dollars.

By 2024 Krasnodar region intends to augment the export volume of AIC products up to 3.8 billion dollars that is 1.6 billion dollars or 72% higher as compared to the year 2018, as reported by the Press-Service of the Administration of Krasnodar region.   

The priority sectors due to which the region intends to increase the export volume – sugar, fat & oil, flour & cereals and starch products and cereals.

«At present the region already exports canned products, winery and milk products, confectioneries and cereals, - told Andrey Korobka, Vice-Governor of the region in charge of supervising AIC. This year and further on we will continue working on the promotion of Kuban products. In particular, the issue of exporting rice is being addressed now. Currently it is considered one of the most competitive products in its niche. The first supplies are already in place».

According to his words, as early as in 2019 the export will be increased up to 2.3 billion dollars. The principal driver for expanding the product mix for processing and enhancing its competitiveness will be upgrading of enterprises, as maintained Korobka.
