Krasnodar became a leader among other cities of the SFD on social and economic development
The Kuban capital was ahead of centers of other regions of the Southern Federal District for 14 of the 31 indicators of social and economic development in the first quarter of 2015.
According to the Municipal Formation of the regional center, the comparative analysis provides to estimate the competitiveness of the Krasnodar economy and its effectiveness and to evaluate the position of the regional center in comparison with other major cities of the south of Russia. Following the results of the first three months of this year, the Kuban capital showed growth in many areas and continues to lead in most indicators of social and economic development in the Southern Federal District.
In particular, Krasnodar is a leader in income of the local budget, in the retail trade turnover among large and medium enterprises of all activities, in commissioning of residential buildings due to all sources of funding and in the number of completed housing per thousand inhabitants. The regional capital still has the lowest unemployment rate and the highest average salary per employee among large and medium enterprises.
A comparative analysis has been carried out by the city administration since 1998. The social and economic indicators of Krasnodar are assessed in comparison with other subjects of the capital cities of the Southern Federal District: the Rostov, Astrakhan and Volgograd regions, the Republic of Kalmykiya and the Republic of Adygeya. Data for the analysis are provided by the territorial authorities of the federal statistics agencies in every region of the Southern Federal District.
