Philip Morris to carry out upgrading in Krasnodar

Until the year 2018, the company intends to channel 1.9 billion rubles of investments for this purpose.

The municipality’s Press Service reports that an appropriate agreement has been duly signed by Vladimir Evlanov, Head of Krasnodar, and Sergey Slipchenko, Сorporate Vice-president of the "Philip Morris International" affiliated companies in Russia, within the framework of the International Investment Forum "Sochi-2015". The funds will be earmarked for upgrading of the production shops, equipment and infrastructure as well as for reconstruction of the enterprise buildings and facilities.        

Furthermore, the current amount of investment for reconstruction and refurbishment of the factory equals around 250 million US dollars. The enterprise’s production capacity accounts for approximately 30 billion cigarettes annually. Over the last three years, the amount of tax and non-tax payments of OJSC "Philip Morris Kuban" into the budgets of all levels and non-budgetary funds of Russia has twice as increased.

As of today, around 600 people work at the factory in Krasnodar. One of the company’s basic corporate priorities boils down to environmental protection and environmental compliance of the production. The company’s health, safety and environmental protection system entirely meets the international requirements and standards. For many years, the factory has been fully involved into the social life of Krasnodar region by allocating considerable resources for charitable programs aimed at providing assistance to those really in need of it.
